Safeguarding
Our promise to protect every child and vulnerable adult in our care.
The safety and dignity of the children and vulnerable adults we serve comes before everything else, including fundraising.
Photos, videos and stories
- We only publish photos and videos of a child with written consent from a parent, guardian or the home's director.
- We never publish a child's full name, school name, or the exact location of the home alongside their picture.
- Where consent is missing, we photograph hands, activities or backs, or we blur faces.
- We remove location data from every photo before it goes online.
- Stories are told with dignity. We do not use images designed to shame or pity.
- If a child or guardian changes their mind, we remove the picture.
Staff and volunteers
- Everyone who works with children is checked before they start and is trained in our safeguarding procedures.
- No volunteer is left alone with a child without proper checks and supervision.
- Visitors to the home must arrange their visit in advance and are accompanied at all times.
