Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Fidelstine Charity Concerns and Orphanage ("Fidelstine", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and your rights. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, for supporters in the United Kingdom, the UK General Data Protection Regulation.
What we collect
- When you donate: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, country and a message. The payment itself is handled by Flutterwave. We never see or store your card or bank details.
- When you subscribe to updates: your email address.
- When you contact us: your name, email, optional phone number and your message.
- When you browse: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
Why we use it
- To process your donation, send you a receipt and thank you.
- To keep accurate financial records, as the law requires.
- To send occasional updates, only if you asked for them.
- To reply to your messages.
We never sell or rent your information.
Who we share it with
- Flutterwave, our online payment provider, to process card and online payments.
- PayPal and our bank (GTBank), when you give through them. They handle your payment under their own privacy policies.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and its database.
- Our email provider, to send receipts and replies.
These providers act on our instructions and must keep your data secure.
How long we keep it
Donation records are kept for as long as financial and tax rules require, normally six years. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept for up to two years.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop receiving updates at any time. Every update email includes an unsubscribe link. To make a request, use our contact form.
